Welcome to the 2013 Airedale Rescue Quilt Blog!
The yearly Airedale Quilt is a MAJOR fundraiser that supports National Airedale Rescue, so I hope you will read daily and through your donations ($5 donation entitles you to 1 Quilt ticket, $25 donation entitles you to 5 Quilt tickets and 1 Bonus quilt ticket) accumulate lots and lots of tickets towards the opportunity to win this year’s BEAUTIFUL, museum-quality quilt titled “Airedales Around Town”. The more you donate, the more chances to win the main quilt or one of the 4 bonus quilts/wall hangings. The Airedale Quilting Bee had a lot of fun making this year’s quilt. There is even a hidden message somewhere around the quilt. Look very closely and see if you can find it!
Besides this year's main quilt, there are also 4 bonus quilts being offered - a Redwork lap-size quilt by Carolyn Finlayson and Sharon DeBoer; "Airedale in Texas Bluebonnets" by Joyce Miller; "Andy in the Berry Patch" by Susann Trandem; and last but not least, "Bitches in Season", a 4-block wall hanging designed by Christie Williams and made by me, Candy Kramlich.
I’ll be showcasing each of the 4 Bonus Quilts, all of the blocks (starting at the Top and going clockwise around the quilt) and alternate with heartwarming Airedale Rescue stories each week and from time to time there will be incentive prizes so you’ll want to check every day to make sure you don’t miss an opportunity to win one of those! You can find the information to donate and get your tickets at the Paypal link on the sidebar of this blog and there is also a link for the snail mail form and address.
Please help us reach our goal this year. Last year the 2012 Airedale Rescue Quilt made approx. $20,000. I hope we can reach that amount this year. Please send the link for this blog to your Facebook page if you have one and share with others to spread the word.
